Our Farm
At Svec Farm in Eastern South Dakota, we raise grassfed, grass-finished beef on the tallgrass prairie. On our fifth-generation family farm, our cattle spend summers grazing across pastures and winters eating hay with access to shelter. No feedlots here!
Our Cattle
Our heritage breed Belted Galloway cattle finish beautifully on grass, resulting in tender, juicy meat. In the summer, they graze across mixed native grass prairies and pastures. In the winter they are fed hay and haylage that we raise on our own land. Our cattle are never given corn, soy, or grains. They are never given antibiotics, GMOs, growth hormones, or mRNA vaccines.
Our Meat
Our cattle are processed in a certified humane USDA facility in South Dakota. Our meat is sealed in CryoVac and sold frozen. We are proud to offer our beef directly to customers by the piece or as a share of a whole animal. You can also find our beef in specialty shops and restaurants in the area.

Fill your freezer
When you’re ready to buy a share of beef to put in your freezer to feed your family, we’re ready for you. We make the process simple and have harvests every few months. New dates for Fall of 2025 are available now!
